Grueby Pottery tall floor vase with 16 overlapping leaves around the bulbous bottom. It is covered in an even curdled matte green glaze, which cascades beautifully over the tooled leaf form. It measures 20 1/4 inches tall and 10 1/2 inches in diameter at the widest. It is in great condition with only 2 base chips filled in at the foot, a few tiny nicks and no other chips, cracks, firing flaws, or repairs. Marked with the earlier Grueby Faience Co Boston USA die-stamp and a possible decorators cipher. An excellent example of the quintessential Arts & Crafts New England art pottery.
