Dorchester Pottery Marks
Dorchester Pottery Works (1895-1979). George Henderson founded Dorchester Pottery in Dorchester, Massachusetts. Known for manufacturing industrial stoneware, they introduced their version of blue and white dinnerware in 1940 right around the time the nearby Dedham Pottery stopped and continued to produce pottery until 1979. Charles A. Hill, brother the wife of the founder, was a manager and decorator at the pottery. His initials C.A.H. are often seen marking the pottery. Nando Ricci was the potter, whose family had worked for Dorchester for generations.
