Grueby Pottery leaf and bud two color vase with 3 well tooled leaves, vertical stems, and yellow buds at the tri-pinched rim of this classic form. Covered with their famous curdled matte green glaze and bright yellow buds with minimal slippage. There is old repair to three small rim chips to the left of each bud but it's in otherwise good condition with no cracks or firing flaws. Marked with the Grueby Pottery Boston USA circular die-stamp and an inscribed RE for modeler Ruth Erickson. It measures 8 1/4 inches tall and 5 inches in diameter at the widest. An excellent example of the quintessential Arts & Crafts New England art pottery.
