Grueby Pottery exceptional tall bulbous gourd form vase with 8 spike leaves and trefoil flowers at the rim. It is covered in an even curdled matte green glaze, perfectly executed to highlight the tooled design. It measures 21 5/8 inches tall and 9 1/4 inches in diameter at the widest. It is in great condition with only a not very noticeable bruise at the rim and no chips, cracks, firing flaws, or repairs. Marked with the Grueby Pottery Co Boston USA die-stamp and possible decorators cipher. An excellent example of the quintessential Arts & Crafts New England art pottery.
