Grueby Pottery & Tile Co trivet tile with pairs of geese in the corners in their famous curdled matte green, tan, white, and yellow ochre glazes separated by their raised clay line "cloisonne" technique. It measures 9 1/2 inches square and about 1 1/8 inch thick and weighs about 5.5 lbs. Marked with the glazer's initials MCM. It is in great condition with only 2 old chip repairs to the back corners, and one to the raised edge. A really nice and rare piece from Boston's famous Arts & Crafts Art Pottery.
