Grueby Pottery leaf and bud vase with 5 well tooled leaves, vertical stems, and buds at the rim of this hand thrown pear shaped form. Covered with their famous curdled matte green glaze which thins nicely on the relief decoration. There are two nearly invisible restored rim chips otherwise it’s in good condition with no cracks or firing flaws. Faintly marked with the earlier Grueby Faience Boston USA larger circular die-stamp. It measures 7 1/2 inches tall and 4 3/4 inches in diameter at the widest.
