Laura Andreson (1902-1999) studio pottery vase with a pale blue and green crystalline over blue-gray matte glaze. Hand thrown and made of porcelain clay with three indented ribs. It measures 11 3/4 inches tall and 4 7/8 inches in diameter. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, firing flaws, or repairs. Signed Laura Andreson and dated 1974 inside the foot. She taught ceramics at the University of Southern California from 1933 to 1970 and was a contemporary of Gertrude and Otto Natzler, Beatrice Wood, and Maija Grotell. An excellent piece of mid-century modern ceramics.
