Murray Douglas (b. 1915) studio pottery vase with a spiral design, probably from his Cranbrook tenure because of it’s Maija Grotell look. His work is in the collection of the Everson Museum in Syracuse NY where it won purchase awards in the 12th Ceramic Nationals in 1947. It measures 5 7/8 inches tall and 4 3/8 inches in diameter at the rim. In excellent condition, there is a small glazed over in the making flaw at the rim, and no other chips, cracks, or repairs.
