Newcomb College Pottery scenic landscape tall vase in their signature matte green blue glazes. The pale full moon is peeking out from behind the a large moss laden branching oak tree with a distant tree horizon in the misty background. Well carved with good color, it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, repairs, or firing flaws. It measures about 8 inches high and 4 inches in diameter at the widest point. Marked with the firm's die-stamped NC mark, a conjoined SI for decorator Sadie Irvine, potters mark JM for potter Joseph Meyer, and date code NE82 for 1923. A fine example of the quintessential southern art pottery.
