Newcomb College Pottery vase with carved flowers with leaves and stems on a tapering bulbous shape. Probably Asters with yellow centers done in their signature matte blue and green glazes with good relief and contrast. It measures about 8 1/2 inches tall and 5 1/8 inches in diameter at the widest. It is in great condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs, just a darker spot in one flower center. Marks include the firm's die-stamped NC mark, SI for artist Sadie Irvine, date code GV79 for 1914, and a conjoined JM for potter Joseph Meyer.
