Newcomb College Pottery stylized floral vase in their transitional matte blue green glazes. The Art Nouveau/Arts & Crafts design of overlapping leaves forms the body of the squat form with yellow centered white flowers rising to the rim. Lightly carved with good contrast and color, it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, repairs, or firing flaws. It measures 4 7/8 inches tall and 5 3/4 inches in diameter at the widest. Marked with the firm's die-stamped NC mark, SI for decorator Sadie Irvine, and date code probably OY61 for 1925.
