Newcomb College Pottery pine tree and full moon scenic landscape vase in their signature matte blue and green glazes. Nicely carved with good contrast and color. It measures 9 1/8 inches tall and 4 3/8 inches in diameter at the widest. There is a small in the making glazed over flaw at the rim, otherwise it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. Marked with the firm's die-stamped NC mark, JM for the potter Jonathan Hunt, SI for decorator Sadie Irvine, and date code RT49 for 1929. A fine example of the quintessential southern Arts & Crafts art pottery.
