Clifton Pottery silver overlay Crystal Patina glaze corset vase. Started by William Long (of Lonhuda, Denver Denaura, and Weller fame), the pottery was located in Newark New Jersey. This is a "First Fire" piece from the opening year of 1905. William Long left in 1909 and returned to Weller. Marked Clifton First Fire Oct 1905. It measures 6 1/4 inches tall and 3 1/4 inches in diameter. It is in great condition with only typical crazing lines to the body, and no chips, cracks, repairs, or firing flaws. An unusual piece of Arts & Crafts era art pottery.
