Rookwood Pottery banded scenic landscape matte finish vellum vase decorated by Ed Diers. An autumnal scene of trees and fields is beautifully executed on an ovoid form with a steel blue ground. It measures 9 1/2 inches tall and 4 3/4 inches in diameter at the widest. Marked with the RP die-stamp, XVII for 1917, shape number 922C, V for vellum, and ED for the artist. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, firing flaws or repairs, and only the typical crazing. An excellent example of arts & crafts Rookwood vellum.
