Rookwood Pottery scenic landscape vellum glaze plaque by Katherine Van Horne. Unitled and with the original frame, it depicts pine trees reflecting along the shore of a lake with a snow capped mountain in the distance in a blue, green, white, and gray scene and a pale blue sky. The porcelain plaque measures 9 3/8 inches x 7 1/4 inches, framed 15 1/4” x 13 1/4”. Signed with the artist's cypher on the face and on the back with the RP die-stamp and XV for 1915. It is well painted and with good color, and in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, firing flaws, or repairs and only moderate crazing. An excellent example of arts & crafts Rookwood.
