Rookwood Pottery scenic landscape vellum glaze vase depicting silhouetted pine trees on the edge of a lake with a wooded horizon and pink sky by Sara Sax. It is in great condition with no chips, cracks, repairs, or firing flaws, and only moderate crazing. It measures 8 1/4” tall and 3 3/4” in diameter at the widest. Marked with the firms RP die-stamp, XII for 1912, shape number 30E, V for vellum, and a conjoined SX for the artist. A beautiful example, well painted and with good color by the famous Cincinnati Ohio pottery.
