Rookwood Pottery scenic vellum glaze plaque titled “Lake in the Woods” by Carl Schmidt. An exceptional example, finely drawn and with good color and only moderate crazing. The porcelain plaque measures 6 1/4” x 8 1/4”, framed 11” x 13”. Signed by the artist on the face; on the back with the firms die-stamp and 1917. Titled with the original label and frame.
