Rookwood Pottery vase with squeeze-bag slip decoration of stylized eucalyptus fronds by one of their best mid century ceramics artists, William Hentschel. The design is in dark brown slip on a robins egg blue ground with fine darker blue crystals. It measures about 4 1/8 inches tall and 5 1/2 inches in diameter at the widest. Marked with the RP die-stamp, XXVIII for 1928, shape # 1927 and a con-joined WEH for artist William Hentschel. It is in great condition with no chips, cracks, firing flaws, or repairs. A good piece of arts & crafts, modern period Rookwood.
