Rookwood Pottery matte vellum vase decorated by Lorinda Epply. It has band of incised stylized cockatoo parrots in white with a gray green background against a darker gray ground. It measures about 6 3/4 inches tall and 4 1/4 inches in diameter at the widest. Marked with the RP die-stamp, VIII for 1908, shape # 938D, V for vellum and a con-joined LE for the artist. There is a little peppering on the shoulder, and no chips, cracks, firing flaws, or repairs, and only the typical crazing. A fine piece of arts & crafts, art nouveau Rookwood vellum.
