Rookwood Pottery scenic landscape matte finish vellum vase decorated by Ed Diers. The cylindrical form depicts water lilies in pond in a blue, green and gray scene with white flowers and trees across the lake with distant hills. It measures 12 3/8 inches tall and 5 inches in diameter at the widest. Marked with the RP die-stamp, IX for 1909, shape number 904C, V for vellum, and ED for the artist. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, firing flaws or repairs, and only the typical crazing. A tall and beautiful example of arts & crafts Rookwood vellum.
