Van Briggle Pottery climbing bears vase glazed in their bi-color blue blush mulberry red or Persian rose glaze. Shape number 244 in the shape book, designed in 1904 by George B. Young and called "Two sculptured bears". It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, repairs, or firing flaws. It measures 15 1/2 inches tall and about 5 3/4 inches at the widest. Marked with the firms double AA box mark and all caps Van Briggle dating this piece to the 1920's. A different piece from the famous Colorado Springs art pottery.
